Scope of Job:
The Retail Supervisor is tasked with the effective management of the merchandising at This Is Holland. This role focuses on operational efficiency, compliance with standards, and enhancing guest experiences while supporting the broader leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Merchandising and F&B Oversight: Oversee the daily operations oft he retail merchandising and F&B sections, ensuring alignment with company standards and guest expectations.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead the retail and F&B teams, focusing on staff training, development, and performance management to deliver excellent guest service.
• Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations including stock control, visual merchandising, and compliance with health and safety standards. Engage in continuous improvement of operational practices to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
• Commercial Success: Monitor and analyze sales performance to drive revenue growth. Implement strategic commercial initiatives and oversee promotional activities to enhance per capita spending and average transaction values.
• Training and Development: Oversee the training, coaching, and development of staff to build a high-performing team. Ensure compliance with all Merlin Entertainments training protocols and guest service expectations.
• Guest Experience: Monitor guest feedback and engagement, implementing improvements to enhance satisfaction within the retail and F&B services.

Weekly/Monthly Tasks:

• Monitor Stock Positions: Ensure daily monitoring and control of stock to guarantee availability and facilitate upselling.
• Team Coaching: Provide ongoing coaching to the team on the sales floor to improve performance and enhance customer interactions.
• Inventory Management: Regularly check and manage the FIFO(First In, First Out) inventory system to ensure product freshness and quality.
• Supplier Coordination:
  • Place orders with key suppliers to secure a continuous supply of unique merchandise. The key suppliers include: Van der Meulen, Blond Amsterdam, Ravensden, EdWaIl, Hamar, Lambertz& Visser, TTD Gifts, Robin Ruth, Matix, Fox.
• Signage Updates: Ensure all signage is current and accurately reflects ongoing promotions and essential information.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all health and safety policies are rigorously enforced within the team. Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with all local and international safety regulations.
